Sketchbook 0004

Another color, multi-panel post that looks like I was going for a Sunday comic feel, but, really, this is just me sketching and drawing and coloring items in.

I would put the age of this one and the previous one, Sketchbook 0003, at eleven years ago or so. Not much has changed since then, other than the fact that I don't draw as much as I would like nowadays.

Sketchbook 0003

This is NOT a multi-panel "sunday" strip, but, rather, an exercise in characterization. This is one of those rare panels where you see Nathan's long-suffering girlfriend Christine. The best part of the whole post was getting this to work:

Man, that took me seven or eight minutes, tops.

Sketchbook 0002

I really, really liked this line, and I couldn't resist using it again in a sketchbook post.

This was drawn in a barracks, somewhere south of Pyeongtaek, South Korea, in the heat of a nasty summer. Was it really all that long ago? Seems like eleven years or so, and I've forgotten it already.

Sketchbook 0001

This is the perfect example of what's in my sketchbooks--something half-baked and not quite good enough for a regular comic.

However, in order to get a lot of this stuff out there, which is really what we're dealing with in the modern world anyway, I'm going to start a new series of items that are sketchbook quality. This is the first such post like that.

The regular comics, which are coming at a much slower rate than I would like, will be interspersed with these posts.
