The Original Dirt Farmer Mug

You can get this or the stainless steel coffee mug. For some reason, people seem to like to buy these things. I hope you enjoy them if you do make a purchase.

rocking his ass off

This was an earlier version of the same thing...Abbott was a grunge rock God at one point. What the hell happened?

the pink ninja

Farmer Butt is actually the Pink Ninja; I thought about registering an entire website and starting this whole new thing where he would fight crime, farm like the dickens, and pretend to be stupid, but then I got tired and gave up.

Abbott and Gooseberry 12 18 1999

As the Abbott character has evolved over time, Gooseberry has remained the same. He is still a black cat who sits, shyly, in a box. This is coming up on 12 years old or so; Abbott has evolved a bit, mostly in the haticological area. The hat is really the only thing that can throw him off. All of the other elements are fluid enough to survive my crappy drawing skills.

grandma went to her maker

I've left a lot of the texture from the paper on this one. Normally, I "bright" some of that out. I'm working on regular art paper with acid-free ink. I come in and put on colored pencil and I smooth it out. Really, this is about as good as it gets around here.

otherworldly voice of his

I still don't know where I come down on the use of the ZITZ! font for some of these. I suppose it doesn't matter. Well, it would matter if I was using Comic Sans! That would make this an instantly evil comic strip, on top of a badly failed one.

Panel Strips

Three more panel strips from the archives.

I'm just not good at these. There are some ideas here, but the execution is poor. Abbott and Gooseberry has always seemed to work better in a single panel format.

I did find some color panels in the strip format. One day this week I will be going hog wild with the scanner. A few of those might show up, soon.

a mole

This one prompted me to "figure out" a little something about Photoshop.

I was unhappy with the line spacing--picky, yes. But, details do matter.

This was the first version of the panel:

All I did was, I took it off "auto" in the Text Editing Tool Bar. I switched it from "auto" to the right font size and it changed the spacing of the text lines from what looked to be double-spacing to single spacing.
